Structural Steel

Steelwork capabilities built into CADWorx Plant provide a full range of international steel shapes and catalogs. CADWorx Plant`s steel utility allows straight or curved steel members to be placed on construction lines or at any place in the design. Editing members` sizes, lengths, coping and notching against adjoining members is easy. As with CADWorx Plant`s piping components, steel members can be linked to project databases for full and comprehensive bills of material reports.

Equipment

Equipment capabilities built into CADWorx Plant allow you to create any 2D or 3D equipment shape. Vessels, pumps, tanks, and exchangers can be quickly added for review and interference checking.

Ducting/Cable Trays

HVAC ducting and cable tray shapes are easily placed using routines built into CADWorx Plant. Select square, rectangular, round and oval shapes with transitions from a single intuitive dialog box. Key dimensional information is retained to allow users to quickly and easily design duct and tray runs with the minimum of effort.

Automatic Isometrics

CADWorx Plant provides the industry`s best looking automatic isometrics and does so with ease. Isometrics can be generated from individual piping layouts or project databases. Intelligent stop marks allow you to specify sensible break points for consistent drawings from revision to revision. A single configuration dialog lets you precisely define how your isometrics will look. Settings for user borders, automatic dimensioning, tagging and bills of material are easily defined.

Whether producing isometrics by selecting individual lines or from project databases, the software makes automatic isometric generation a cost saver by dramatically reducing errors and improving productivity.

Piping Specifications

CADWorx Plant includes over 65 detailed, ready-to-use specifications that access 3500 component data files carrying parametric information on over 60,000 components! And more are continually added. In keeping with the global character of CADWorx Pipe, specifications and data files are provided in imperial, metric and mixed metric formats with materials and sizes in accordance with regional standards. CADWorx also makes it quick and easy to create your own component data files.

The powerful specification editor included within CADWorx Plant allows you to create and modify specifications on-the-fly or outside of a drawing session. Easy specification manipulation through this intuitive editor ensures consistency and accuracy in your designs.

Bills of Material

Because CADWorx components placed in the design are intelligent, you can create accurate user-configurable bills of material in the most popular database formats at any point in the design process.

Export to External Database

CADWorx Plant allows you to export design and component information to an external database in a variety of database formats for ease of reporting and global model updates

Links to Stress Analysis

You can output any part of a CADWorx Plant piping system to stress analysis in native CAESAR II file format. Routing, pipe support and system modifications made in CAESAR II can be read by CADWorx Plant directly into the design. This link between CADWorx Plant and CAESAR II reduces duplication of work and ensures that both designer and engineer are working with the latest and most accurate information available.

Automated Stress Isometrics

CADWorx Plant can use CAESAR II output to easily create stress isometrics. Once drawn, a dialog lets you select the analysis results that you want to see on the stress isometrics. This feature gives you automatically generated, fully dimensioned isometrics that are annotated with the accurate input and analysis data that you require.

CADWorx Equipment

A parametric equipment modeler with all the features needed to easily model 3D equipment for plant design. The package lets you accurately build units such as vessels, exchangers, tanks, pumps, etc. quickly and effortlessly.

Model Review and Walkthrough

NavisWorks for CADWorx, supplied with each seat of CADWorx Plant Professional, provides real-time design review capabilities of even the largest 3D models. Intuitive tools allow the navigation, collaboration, presentation and coordination of your 3D models. This makes it easy to create movies (AVI`s) and review comments with other CADWorx Pipe users

Live Database Links
